Farewell B2

OK, so I won't pretend that the lead up to this day has been a mixture of happiness and anxiety.  I didn't know what to expect!

I certainly didn't think it would be a full on busy day, still going on like I would be there again Monday morning all bright eyed and bushy tailed!  I was still sitting in the office waiting for my equally crazy friend to finish her reports before heading off for pizza down the road.

I've been struggling a lot during this pregnancy with what the doctors and midwife has called "prenatal depression" NOT JUST MY HORMONES PLAYING UP!!! Which is what I had initially put my moods and constant crying down to. This is one for another blog, I'll tell you all about it later!

Getting to 29th January 2016 has been a journey and a half to say the least.

I didn't want to finish and leave my work behind! I love my work job.  I love my colleagues and I love my boss! Let's face it, who is lucky enough to say that?  Don't get me wrong, I moan with the best of them about how crappy my day has been, but ultimately wouldn't change it for the world.  What I cannot deal with now at 35 weeks pregnant is the constant trips to the loo and the mid afternoon sugar rush that is required to get me through the last few hours of work.  Not to mention having to pretend to be the happy, chirpy sales girl to my clients (whom I love) is a job in itself. For that, I am glad it's over and now all that awaits is the school runs and the imminent arrival of baby no3!

In the afternoon of my last day, my manager brings in a beautifully decorated 2 layered fresh strawberry and sponge cake and a bottle of Baileys! Cheers! Not only am I waiting for this baby to pop out within the next 5-7 weeks but I am now going to be staring at that bottle and waiting patiently for the first drop!  Oh I forgot to say we had a fresh pot of tea to go alongside our cake - worzel gummidge springs to mind "cup o' tea and a slice o' cake"

So here we are! Sunday! No work to wake up to. I have plans for a pedi and a mani tomorrow morning before my midwife appointment and the to wait for 3.15 to get the kids and start my journey as JUST MUM.

Thank you B2 - you've been amazing and I'm gonna miss ya loads.  Thanks for the cake (I needed the extra calories) and for the fun times.  See you in September! Actually, I'll probably see ya tomorrow! Haha

Jukebox :-)
